The King today said he took no offence at not being invited to attend the Inauguration Ceremony of President-Elect, Donald Trump. “We all know how bad the US postal service is”, he said, “they probably lost the invitation somewhere in Kansas”.
When pressed on the matter, he agreed that it was an important international event and that relations with the US Government were improving since last year’s hack of The Times website. However, he stressed that he felt there was more good work he can do at the World Economic Forum in Davos. “This is an equally important event”, he said, “because key decision-makers from across the globe are present in the one place. We can discuss such important matters as international tax and how to change the laws to benefit the minority, I mean, majority”.
The King is making the keynote speech at the Forum. The speech, titled “How global income inequality increases global wealth – Why the fact that 8 men own more than 50% of the global wealth is great for the global poor”.
